oh my poor, neglected blog...

Sunday, April 04, 2004

My weekend was surprisingly fun.

I'm just upset that I missed the drunk Key Club Board members and Clifford, the annoying freshmen who I hate, t.p.'ed to his bed. Dang. I love it when Amy doesn't try hard enough to wake me up.

Anyway, lots of laughs and fun at the convention... =) It wasn;t so bad after all.. haha

Oh yes- I think my hand is broken. And I got the part of Cinderella.! that makes me happy... I was sure Cathleen would get it cause she was wonderful, but appearence factored into Ms.Hager's final decision. Anyway, I am pleased with my role, even though it is the goody-goody! I don't mind though, I was just in a step-sister mood in my last entry! lol =)

More detail on my hand & the convention later. It is now time for zzzzz's.

Shana agrees with me. Sometimes you just wanna yell, "GET OFF MY TURF!" haha.... It couldn't be any closer to the truth... sigh.

Anyway, my day was swell! =)

The band festival was going on all day so all my classes were quite small. That was lovely. In Honors English, we headed down to the gym to hear Clay Co. High's band. I loved it... I love band music. I wish I could've heard our band but I think they performed early today. They're good dispite their small size. Perhaps next year I shall hear them... hmmm.

5th was nothing but disscussion, in 6th period we had a brute of a worksheet ( i got the first 3 pages finished! go me!), and Polly & I got out of 7th again to do class officer junk... I didn't want to leave cause we were watching Aaron McVey's Macbeth movie... This brought back memories of my attempt to make a movie... That in turn brought up more memories which resulted in a concealed teary-eyed moment. Hmm... 'nuff about that.

We had auditions after school for The Return of the Glass Slipper. Yeah, it's a generic version of Cinderella, but it's actually quite cute. Yes, cute. I actually knew what is was the entire time cause she showed me the book once during All State rehearsals. She just didn't want the world to know cause 50000 girls would all want to be Cinderella. Unstandable motives, but nonetheless, a huge annoyance to those actually trying out. Didn't bug me tho.

The auditions went well, although I haven't the slightest idea of what part I may get. I'd love to be one of the stepsisters... or the stepmother. I think roles like that are more fun than the goody-goody-Mary-Sunshine roles. (perhaps I just feel that way because I always get casted as the goody-goody-Mary-Sunshine chick.... geee.. i hope it hasn't been type-casting this whole time.. Being consider Mary Sunshine is not an ideal way to be viewed all the time...) Anyway, I don't think I'll get Cinderella and I'm totally cool with that. I want to get more involved in a character this time.. I want to actually have to mold their personality into something different that what I have been the past 3 shows.... I'll find out tomorrow probably what kind of mold I need to create. Wow... I'm such a theatre geek.

We had our Solos & Ensembles concert tonight. Sure did. It went okay I suppose. I always judge my performances harshly. I cannot give myself a compliment. Oh well. But, I love it when people come up to you afterwards and give you an ear-full of compliments. It always causes me to get in this slap-happy, giddy mood..... I love it when you get compliments from perfect strangers (like that one time during football season.). Those are always enjoyable... And it's also enjoyable to hear some mother tell you they want their daughter to follow in your footsteps.... Humm.. It's sounds like I'm bragging, but I'm not. I don't mean to sound that way. I'm just pumped up still yet from tonight's performance. I still think I could've done a gazillion times better than what I did. Oh well.

I got home at 9:20ish and started on my evil Chemistry. It's easy stuff, there was just a lot of it and I was looking forward to sleeping.... That's not going to happy now cause I just downed an entire Lipton's Raspberry Iced Tea. Some Adam guy said that caffine really doesn't effect you, that it's all in your head. Psshhht. haha... Well, it probably is. However, it's in my mind that I must have a cappucino or coffee every morning in order to function properly, so I shall stick to that habit anyway. Ya know what? I haven't had a s'more cappucino in awhile... That's depressing.

Tomorrow is Wendesday. No obligations for tomorrow... Hurrah.

It's time to skat.

I miss my jelly! <3

This show is just amazing. I heart The Last 5 Years!

it is 9:15 and i'm going to bed. i'm so  drained.

oh yea- i set my car alarm off this morning. my key beeper thingy is dead, so i didn't know how to turn it off. thanks to adam funk,he stopped  it's pyscho ways..although he didn't know how he did it. it was rather funny. except i was quite upset because i missed breakfest pizza because of that.

yea... i'm aware that this entry was completely pointless.

belch.

Recap time.

Thursday: Got up at 5 and headed to Wheeling. This lovely drive consisted of reading The Screwtape Letters and navigating the way to Wheeling for Ms. Hager the whole time. Umm..... we started rehearsal at 1 perhaps.. something like that. Dinner was spent there in the Lodge, then Chris & I went down to Adam's room where we watched Spongebob until our next rehearsal. After the evening rehearsal was finished, we watched Winfield's show choir which was absolutly amazing!!! Show choirs rok my sox... I wish I could be a part of something like that... *sigh* oh well. That was pretty much my Thursday.

Friday: Got up at 7, had a seminar at 8 (call me a nerd, but i enjoy seminars... blah), then went to rehearsal until lunch.... Lunch was spent with Adam, his momma, and Chris. we kicked ace in the afternoon rehearsal, Dr. Castleberry cancelled the one that evening!

Saturday: morning rehearsal and then the performance!!!! Ahhh! We sounded amazing!!!... we really did. I can't wait till my cd gets in ... But anyway, the performance was awesome as was the rest of the concert... I loved it. I loved every minute of the entire experience. I love Dr. Castleberry! Yay! I really wish it wasn't over ... I miss rehearsals and I miss all my new alto 1 buddies. Sigh.

I love being a choir nerd.

umm.. Sunday: Got up, went to church, did a crapload of yard work (beh!), rearranged & cleaned my room (it was quite disgusting.. Laura can vouch for that.), and went to the movies with Adam & saw The Dawn of the Dead! That movie was awesome!!! Freaked the crap outta me... and there's a lot of blood, guts, etc., so I cringed quite often. I loved it! Adam had seen it for the first time the night before so that was his 2nd time in 24 hours.. That's how much that kid loved it... I don't blame him! That movie is awesome! hooray... Plus, hanging out with Adam always puts a big, cheesy grin on my face!.. FACE! haha... =)

Today was a crappy Monday. In 4th period, a bunch of kids and I had a focus group with some woman who is writing a book on teacher questioning in the classroom. I was utterly bored. I thought we were going to have some special "let's-pick-apart-your-brain" session or something. Nope. Bored the crap outta me. However, this annoying focus group got me out of Honors English and got me in the lunch line earlier. .. for that, I am grateful.

Er... the rest of the day was nothing. I did have an evil Spanish test that I have to finish later in the week.. and in 7th period, Mrs. Thomas pulled me & Polly out of Human Services to do class officer crap. Polly had to type up the song list, and I had to design the prom t-shirts. It's actually quite fun. The first thing Mrs. Thomas said to me was, "You're an artsy-fartsy person right?" haha... after I answered, she gave me the job. Oh what fun.

After school was just a normal Music Monday: Piano & voice. Tomorrow we have auditions for whatever play we're going to do in choir and our Solos & Ensembles concert is that evening. I haven't looked at my song since Solos & Ensembles... Ah well. I care not. The play, however, is something that I'm looking forward to. I'm about to jump out of my skin.. I need to do a play!

This blog has been long... sorry.

now I must go do fun Chemistry homework.. belch.

Farewell.

Erin
